Library Basics

Here are a few things you should know about OWU libraries:

CONSORT is the name of the OWU library catalog.  Use it to find books, journals, e-books, audiovisual material, and more from OWU, Denison, Kenyon, and Wooster.

Summon is a brand new way to search library resources.  Similar to Google, Summon is a one search box interface that searches books AND journal articles as well as newspapers, dvds, digitized items and more.

OhioLink is a giant catalog that includes materials from nearly 100 colleges and universities (and a few public libraries) all over the state of Ohio.  You will use OhioLink to order materials that aren't available through CONSORT.

The library's website is a gateway to all kinds of resources.  Find links to catalogs, databases, online reference materials, and more!

OWU has 6 librarians ready to help you with ANY question (whether it's research-related or not).  Each librarian has expertise in various subject areas.  Find a librarian, make a connection, and keep asking questions!!

Your barcode number is located at the bottom of your OWU ID.  It starts with 216.  You will use this number to order materials through CONSORT and OhioLink and to renew books online.
